As President Biden moves forward with his agenda and filling his Cabinet with capable people (update: six now confirmed), the nation is still mired in the chaos and lies that were the hallmarks of the Trump Administration. The former president’s second impeachment trial is set to begin in a just one week and his defense covers two main areas: Trump is no longer president so Congress is overstepping its authority and Trump was simply exercising his Constitutionally protected 1st Amendment Right to freedom of speech. This is made all the worse by the fact that Trump’s attorneys misspelled “United States” in their filing. Incompetence ’til the bitter end.
