It’s June 19 – Juneteenth – a holiday I learned nothing about as a child. But it’s the anniversary of the day in 1865 on which slavery finally ended in the United States. In what is likely not a coincidence, a House Judiciary today is holding hearings on reparations, an issue I wanted to hear from listeners about.
