Once he counts the money in his giving jar, Billy is ready for giving back to the community. He’s thinking of helping his library. Listen to find out how.
Hello everyone! We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Giving Back,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 7:20
Giving Back Excerpt:
Billy stood up on his tippy toes to reach his money saving jars. He wanted to see how much money he had in his “Giving” jar. As he stretched his fingers pushed the jar further back on the shelf, of course, that was the moment Emily walked in the room and asked, “What’cha doing?”
Feeling frustrated, Billy took a deep dragon breath, in and out, before responding to his sister. Then he said, “Getting my ‘Giving’ jar. I want to see how much I have to share.”
“I’ll get mom. She can reach the jars and I want to see how much I have too.” Emily returned with their mom.
“So, you guys want to count the money in your ‘giving’ jars?” Mom said. “Before I get them down, let’s talk about what you would like to do. Do you have any ideas?”
