68. Creating a Better Workplace

Today’s episode is focused on the state of the workplace in 2023. Gallup has published a report based on over 120,000 leaders globally and their responses to various survey questions on engagement, stress, workplace locations and what they need from their managers. There are quite a few interesting statistics that came out of the report, and I discuss my thoughts on some of the results.

• Global and North America Engagement scores are shared and although Gallup feels they are strong; I was surprised at the numbers.
• The three types of engagement categories that Gallup identifies and uses for the purposes of their survey and which ones had the highest percentage.
• The percentage of people who have stress in the workplace and how that impacts engagement.
• The impact of leadership and management on an organization’s engagement.
• How is the choice of where people are working now impact engagement?
