Laura Pellegrini & Stefano Da Frè, Co-Directors and Producers of “The Day I Had To Grow Up”, A Documentary About Student Debt/ Youth Activism are available for interviews.

President Joe Biden promised to lessen the $1.7 trillion student-debt crisis during his campaign, promising debt cancellation and reforms of key student-loan programs. One of the president’s first actions in office was an extension of the student-loan payment pause during the pandemic, providing relief to the 43 million borrowers. But the pause is lifting come October, and borrowers, experts, and lawmakers worry the Biden administration is not doing enough to protect borrowers when that happens.

“The Day I Had To Grow Up” spotlights America’s growing challenges with gun violence. Taylor Nicole Turner, a high school student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas recounts her traumatic experience of her best friend Helena Ramsey being killed in the Parkland school shooting in 2018. The documentary details the steps in which future administrations can take to meet America’s Gun violence epidemic.

As filmmakers, Stefano & Laura hope to empower audiences to be inspired by the youth activists in our documentary. America is a dialogue. The documentary brings their audience to the forefront of today’s most important conversations.
