(Los Angeles, CA) – Dr. Antoinette Corley-Newman, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist who believes that an active imagination improves one’s mental health, is using this belief to release her first book Trick or Treat: The Story of How the Switch Witch Came To Be on September 6, 2021. Not only will this book be hit for Halloween, but a portion of its sales will go to the GraceGives organization.
With an instrumental approach, Dr. Corley-Newman has taken her expertise, knowledge, and passion for one’s imagination and turned it into a children’s book that takes the reader on a magical journey of imagination and self-discovery. She prides herself on creating books that speak to an individual’s complete mind, body, and soul.
In this book, Dr. Corley-Newman has created a mystical and adorable story that centers on Abigail, a precocious witch, and her Harvest Festival adventures. The book centers on Abigail and her Transylvania friends as they enjoy dressing up and participating in the Harvest Festival activities in the hopes of winning mortal treats. Through Abigail, you learn the history and importance of the Harvest Festival and why it means so much to her. This story focuses on the importance of family and tradition all while allowing the reader to follow Abigail through her self-discovery mission.
While Dr. Corley-Newman is a clinical psychologist and author on a professional level, she is a mother first. Her ideas regarding one’s imagination have trickled over to her children as they used their imaginations to create an amazing philanthropic support organization called GraceGives.

The organization started when her three children decided to assemble and hand out care packages to the homeless in their community. It promotes itself as a community of self-love and kindness that raises awareness for charities on the local and global levels. A portion of the proceeds from Trick or Treat: The Story of How the Switch Witch Came To Be will go to the GraceGives organization.
