Musical Comedian seen on NBC's 'Bring the Funny' and 'Last Comic Standing'
Most recognized from NBC’s 'Bring the Funny' and 'Last Comic Standing,' Kristin Key has been a nationally touring musical comedian for 20 years. This preacher’s daughter started her career in a small-town comedy club in West Texas at the age of 19. Stifled by religion and regional homophobia, she remained in the closet. While her career flourished, she struggled with the weight of self-censoring. In 2015, she fully came out and enjoyed the relief of being her authentic self. With the closet door open, she was able land a spot on NBC's "Bring the Funny" and perform an LGBTQ-forward set.
Since the quarantine mandate, Kristin has continued to perform on Zoom platforms and host two podcasts, "Kristin Knows Blank" and "Friday Live at 5."
